Description
Come see why Tangipahoa Parish is a great place to do business, an amazing place to live, a community where education is important to both our residents and our business leaders, and has a quality of life that offers something for everyone!
The Greater Hammond Chamber will host the
Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation's
annual meeting on March 9, 2017, at the Shell Robert Training & Conference Center. The annual meeting allows the stakeholders and community to hear about current issues and business in our parish.
This year, the meeting will feature a panel of four community leaders discussing "Why Tangipahoa?" The panel includes:
- Torrence Joseph - Principal of Loranger High School, he will be discussing curriculum offered to train our students for real world work and what they are doing to ensure everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
- David Koster - Builder Board Member of the Northshore Home Builders Association, he will be giving us an update on the Tangipahoa housing market, including new construction forecast for 2017.
- Rob Nelson - President of Elmer Chocolate in Ponchatoula, he will give an update on the expansion of the facility last year and why they chose to expand their Tangipahoa location.
- Carla Tate - Executive Director of Tanghipahoa Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau, she will give us a look at the hidden treasures in our parish and the remarkable impacts of sporting events and festivals in our community.
