The Historic Carter House Society Inc. (HCHS) will hold a Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 at 1:00 PM ? 4:00 PM both days. The public is invited to tour the plantation house and see each room decorated in holiday décor from past and present. Santa should be there for good girls and boys. Along with the beautiful decorations you?ll learn about the history of the National Register house built 1817 ? 1820. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00/person or $10.00/family and all tickets sold will be entered in a drawing to win a prize. Proceeds go toward preservation and restoration of the Carter House, the only plantation still standing in Livingston Parish.
