DESCRIPTION:United States Postal Services- Hammond  is asking postal customers\, including businesses to place non-perishable food items in a bag for our letter carriers to collect on this day. All food collected is given to the Hammond Food Pantry. Last year we collected about 12\,000lbs and we hope to exceed that this year. We will also have a container in our lobby starting Monday for customers who visit the PO to leave such items.
